We are looking to employ a caring individual who is reliable and energeticto join our friendly staff team. The role will involve supporting a child withadditional needs in Year 2, working through the child’s learning jobs set by the ClassTeacher.
The child has medical needs and will need support from an adult who will follow him around ensuring that his feeding tube does not get trapped or pulled. The individual will
- a) attend to the medical needs of child following training
- b) ensure the safety of child in relation to his feeding tube (and others) at alltimes
- c) alertSENCO/Headteacher and parent of any medical concerns
- d) update on the child’s day and measures in a daily communication book which goeshome each day with the child
- e) readthrough the child’s EHCP and support accordingly
