Part-time Night Porter

Job Summary

We are seeking to recruit a reliable, pleasant and confident Night Porter to join our team at historic house hotel of the National Trust. As the first point of contact during overnight hours, you\’ll ensure the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our guests while maintaining the smooth operation of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome late-arriving guests and assist with check-in/check-out procedures
• Monitor hotel premises to ensure security and respond to any incidents
• Handle guest queries and provide assistance as needed during the night
• Perform basic housekeeping tasks (e.g., tidying public areas, restocking supplies)
• Prepare possible sandwiches or early simple breakfast and assist with early morning preparations
• Manage wake-up calls, newspapers and taxi bookings

To be successful in this role, the person is required to work shifts, be a team player and to provide excellent customer service and ensure that hotel operations run smoothly.
