We are looking for an Internal Communications Officer to join our Communications team and support the delivery of engaging, inclusive and high-quality communications for staff across our University’s global community. This is a perfect role for a confident writer who is interested in improving user experience and ensuring digital accessibility across our digital channels. You’ll enjoy collaborating with colleagues across the organisation and helping staff feel informed, connected and engaged!

What will you be doing?

Working as a part of the Communications team, you will support the delivery of high-quality, engaging and inclusive communications for staff across our global University community. You will be responsible for developing content, managing internal channels, supporting communications campaigns and ensuring a consistent and professional tone across all internal messaging. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across HR, Estates, IT, Student Services and other functions to ensure internal audiences are kept well-informed and feel part of the University life.

Essential skills and experience

  • Experience creating written content for internal or external audiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to translate complex or technical information into accessible and engaging messaging
  • Ability to tailor messages and tone for different audiences and channels
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of accuracy and clarity
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks to deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams
