Overview

To help us recruit social workers who are committed to working in Middlesbrough we are currently offering a 10% market supplement to social work salaries, which will be reviewed at the end of March 2026. The team supports people with a learning disability from the age of 18 years. The work is varied, demanding and very rewarding. You will manage a varied caseload who may be living at home with parents, in supported living, residential placements, mental health hospitals or other settings. As a social worker you will work closely with colleagues within the Learning Disabilities Team as well as partners from Health, the voluntary and charitable sector and with children\’s services and education for those young people coming through transitions into adult social care. We are looking for someone who is creative and can think outside the box when working to support people with a learning disability to achieve better outcomes. The team is based in newly refurbished offices in Middlesbrough. You will receive regular supervision, access to training and development and the opportunity to make a difference.
