We are looking to recruit staff to work during term time who are excited to be Passenger Assistants within our Integrated Transport Unit.

A Passenger Assistant is employed to accompany both children and vulnerable adults on their journey between home and school or to enable them to access other day services. You will be expected to work across all areas to meet service demands.

Our Passenger Assistants are the link between parents/carers and service provider staff and represent Middlesbrough Council. Passenger Assistants are there to ensure passengers' safety and wellbeing and that their transport is a comfortable and happy environment.

We are seeking applicants that will embed the values of Middlesbrough Council and will be passionate about our service to those whom our service supports.

Statutory training is given to all Passenger Assistants such as first aid, manual handling, etc. Specific training is available to Passenger Assistants dependent upon the needs of the individuals they are responsible for.
