Do you enjoy working outside and taking pride in keeping local environments clean, safe and welcoming? If so, this could be the role you’ve been looking for. We’re looking for a Waste Operative 2 with practical knowledge of cleansing and maintaining outdoor environments. You’ll play a vital role in supporting our frontline services and helping to keep our streets and public spaces at their best.

About the Role

You’ll be part of a hardworking and supportive team, carrying out a range of environmental maintenance and cleansing duties. Although training may be available, experience or qualifications in the following area are desirable:

  • Use of handheld machinery such as pedestrian street sweepers, strimmers, hedge trimmers and air blowers.
  • CPC Driver qualification (essential)
  • Full driving license – Class 2 HGV preferred.
  • Experience operating mechanical brushing equipment.
  • Needlestick training.
  • Asbestos awareness.
  • First Aid at Work.
  • Manual handling training.

Working Hours

Tuesday to Friday 6:45am – 4:30pm.
