We have an exciting, permanent opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Rough Sleeper Team as a Housing Solutions Officer. We are looking for someone who can:
- Work in close partnership with colleagues across the Local Authority and partner organisations.
- Take part in early morning sweeps and work on an outreach basis.
- Carry out homelessness assessments in line with the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and aim to prevent repeat homelessness and rough sleeping wherever possible using creative and collaborative methods.
- Be creative, innovative and person-centred in your approach to supporting those experiencing or at risk of Rough Sleeping.
- Work as part of the wider Housing Solutions Team to prevent and relieve homelessness wherever possible.
- Record information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Effectively communicate with colleagues, applicants and stakeholders.
- Help to promote recovery and change and have a determined attitude to get the best outcomes for the people you are working with.
Whilst in post there will be development opportunities alongside flexible working with the option of a blended working environment (home and office where appropriate). To be successful in this role you need to demonstrate how you prioritise development and well-being of a team, have experience of working effectively with a range of services and have the skills, passion and resilience to work creatively with service users who are accessing Housing Solutions.
