We have an exciting role on offer within our Children’s Services as an Educational Psychologist. Middlesbrough Educational Psychology Service are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate colleague to join our team. The role is offered on a hybrid working basis, a blend of working from home and the office.

Middlesbrough EPS is a strong and vibrant service, trading successfully with schools. All our colleagues complete a range of traded, statutory and project work. We have a strong focus on staff wellbeing, collaborative working and values-based practice. We use consultation as a model of service delivery.

The successful candidate will deliver psychological services to a group of schools. This typically includes consultation and assessment on individual pieces of casework and a range of other activities such as training; solution-oriented meetings; circles of adults; PATHS and intervention. There is also a requirement to prepare written statutory advice that meets the service’s quality standards, within the required six-week timescale (we do not have a backlog of statutory assessments).

There are also opportunities to be involved in project and other systemic work, to develop areas of interest. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and a reflective approach to practice. There is a strong focus on collaborative working within the team; we meet every Wednesday to work together, deliver supervision and CPD. We are currently developing our training offer and look forward to helping you develop your interests.
