We have an exciting role on offer within our Education & Partnerships service as an Early Years Practitioner. Stainsby Day Nursery are looking to employ two suitably qualified minimum level 3 early years practitioners to support and manage the aims and objectives of the nursery by providing high quality childcare and education in line with current legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist and deliver learning programmes in the context of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, ensuring standards of safe practice and confidentiality.
- Provide a secure foundation delivering challenging learning and development opportunities that are planned around the needs and interests of each individual child, including children with diverse and complex needs.
- Work in partnership with parents, carers, schools, colleagues and partner agencies to identify areas of need, signpost/referral to supportive services and engage families in their children’s learning and development.
- Ensure the nursery environment promotes and provides equality of opportunity, reflects diversity and supports anti-discriminatory practice.
- Follow nursery policies and procedures to ensure highest standards of safe practice and confidentiality in accordance with Safeguarding Children guidelines.
- Maintain health and safety, hygiene and general cleanliness of the room, and relation to children’s learning by maintaining appropriate training.
- Attend, participate and contribute to monthly staff meetings, training, supervisions and appraisals.
This vacancy is part time 16 hours per week. The above post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
