We are looking to recruit a team time only Driver within our Integrated Transport Unit conveying vulnerable adults and child passengers to and from care facilities, schools, academies, and other education sites.

Our Drivers work alone or in partnership with Passenger Assistants providing a specialist transport service and are the link between parents/carers and service provider staff.

We are seeking applicants that will embed the values of Middlesbrough Council and will be passionate about our service to those whom our service supports.

Our Drivers must ensure that passenger safety and wellbeing is their priority, and that transport is a comfortable and a happy environment.

This post may include the support and assistance to a child or adult who has SEND and or other medical needs. It will also include the loading and unloading of passengers in wheelchairs, buggies, and other equipment suitable for transport.

We are seeking applicants that will embed the values of Middlesbrough Council and will be passionate about our service to those whom our service supports.

Mandatory training is given to all Drivers such as customer service excellence, wheelchair security, first aid, etc. Specific training is available to Driver’s dependent upon the needs of the individuals they are responsible for.

Drivers must hold a full driving license with D1 entitlement to drive.

We are looking to recruit team members to work during term time who are excited to drive within our Integrated Transport Unit.
