We have an exciting role on offer within our Highway Infrastructure and Fleet as a Bridges and Structures Engineer. The post holder will support management in the delivery of an effective, efficient, and resilient highway structures service through the inspection, review, and ongoing monitoring of asset condition.

Responsibilities

  • The role will involve the design, procurement, and project management of maintenance, repair, improvement, and replacement works, delivered in accordance with Middlesbrough Council’s asset management strategies, policies, and statutory obligations.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A Full UK Driving License.

Impact

This is a key role in ensuring the safety, longevity, and compliance of the Council’s bridges and structures portfolio, contributing directly to the protection of the travelling public and the sustainable management of infrastructure assets.
