Overview
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Training Recruitment Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, tailored recruitment service that supports both employers and learners. You\’ll work closely with employers to understand their recruitment needs, promote vacancies effectively to attract strong candidates, and ensure a smooth and timely response throughout the process. With a focus on meeting recruitment targets and building lasting relationships, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about connecting people with the right opportunities and making a real impact in the training and employment sector.
Responsibilities
- Manage online and external web-based learner application process, as well as process candidates that drop by our offices within the college.
- Register employer vacancies and develop a good understanding of what companies do, culture, market etc.
- Manage vacancies appropriately, advertising where necessary, using a wide range of media (e.g., Apprenticeship Vacancies website, social media, external job boards / websites, Northern Skills Group website).
- Ensure learners are briefed and debriefed during employer interviews and throughout the recruitment life cycle.
- Source and shortlist suitable CVs in line with employer recruitment requests.
- Arrange interviews for the right learners with the right employers and provide feedback to candidates on interview outcomes.
- Arrange interviews for BELP candidates; Middlesbrough College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our students, including children, young people, and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff to share this commitment.
- This role involves regulated activity and direct contact with children and young people. The successful candidate will be expected to uphold the highest standards of safeguarding practice. - All successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, an online search, and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
Qualifications
- Have a good standard of general education e.g., 5 GCSE\’s (or equivalent) including English & Maths.
- Hold recruitment consultant/Sales / Telesales experience.
- Have a knowledge of apprenticeships – desirable.
- Have a knowledge of work-based learning – desirable.
