Annual Leave: 30 days plus public holidays (pro rata)

Hours: 18.5 hours, Permanent

Salary: Business & Teaching Support Scale 4, £11,777.50 - £12,315.59 per annum (actual salary)

Overview

Join Our Team

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible individual to join our Student Support Services team. This is a front-line role supporting students with a wide range of welfare, financial, and travel-related services. You’ll be part of a dynamic environment where excellent customer service and attention to detail are key.

Responsibilities

  • Resource the dedicated Student Support Services Office dealing with face-to-face enquiries using an excellent level of Customer Service at all times.
  • Respond to general college enquiries by phone and e-mail in a timely manner.
  • Rigorous and quality check assessments of Financial Assistance Applications and subsequent communication to applicants.
  • Disbursement of all student related funding schemes in a fair and auditable manner.
  • Monitor and record educational visits liaising with directorates and others as required to ensure compliance with policy.
  • Liaise closely with other Student Services and College staff to maximise Vulnerable Young Person bursary entitlement.
  • Provide support with the college travel schemes for bus and rail.
  • Processing of bursary and travel payments on a weekly basis.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to minimum NVQ Level 2 or above in an appropriate area i.e., Business Administration, Customer Service
  • Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • A commitment to undertake any mandatory training relevant to the role.
