An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Lecturer in Maths to join our Teaching & Learning team. What You’ll Be Doing
As a Lecturer in Maths, you will:
- Deliver and manage high-quality, inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment in Maths within the Teaching & Learning sector.
- Plan a program of study for Mathematics that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of all students.
- Support students\’ academic and personal growth, helping them achieve their full potential.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that connect classroom learning to real-world applications.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and address the needs of all students.
- Support student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression, providing guidance and tailored support.
What We’re Looking For
We seek candidates who:
- Are qualified teachers or are prepared to work towards achieving the qualification **
- Possess current knowledge and experience in teaching Mathematics.
- Hold GCSEs at Grade C / Level 4 or above in English and Maths, or an equivalent qualification.
- Exhibit effective classroom management skills, alongside excellent time management and strong communication abilities.
- Are skilled in preparing teaching materials using Information Learning Technology.
- Have experience teaching GCSE Mathematics in either a school or further education (FE) setting and delivering exam-based qualifications (experience with Functional Skills is desirable).

Thesalary progression criteria beyond point 11 of the Lecturer scale will be based on you achieving and maintaining, on an annual basis, the Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) & QTS. To progress beyond point 14 of the Lecturer salary scale, you will be expected to achieve and maintain the Advanced Teacher Status (ATS).
