An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Electrical Installation to join our Construction team. This is a fantastic chance to help shape the next generation of skilled electricians and electrical professionals while contributing to a vibrant academic community.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Lecturer in Electrical Installation, you will:
- Deliver and manage high-quality, inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment in Electrical Installation within the Construction sector.
- Provide both practical and theoretical instruction in key areas, such as electrical installation.
- Support students\’ academic and personal growth, helping them achieve their full potential.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that connect classroom learning to real-world applications.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and address the needs of all students.
- Support student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression, providing guidance and tailored support.
What We’re Looking For
We seek candidates who:
- Are qualified teachers; or are willing to work towards the qualification**
- Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation.
- Have GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths, or an equivalent qualification.
- Have current knowledge and experience in teaching Electrical Installation in Construction
- Possess Assessor Level 3 and Verifier Level 4 qualifications or demonstrate a willingness to work towards obtaining them.
- Demonstrate effective classroom management, excellent time management, and strong communication skills.
- Are proficient in preparing teaching materials using Information Learning Technology.

Thesalary progression criteria beyond point 11 of the Lecturer scale will be based on you achieving and maintaining, on an annual basis, the Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) & QTS. To progress beyond point 14 of the Lecturer salary scale, you will be expected to achieve and maintain the Advanced Teacher Status (ATS).
