Annual Leave: 45 days per annum plus statutory Bank Holidays (pro rata)

Contractual hours: 18.5 hours per week

Teaching hours: 432 annualised hours

Basis: Part time, Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Lecturer in Childcare and Education to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the next generation of Childcare and Education professionals while playing a key role in a thriving academic community.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Lecturer in Childcare and Education, you will:

  • Deliver and manage high-quality, inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Provide hands-on and theoretical instruction in specific areas.
  • Support students\’ academic and personal growth, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that connect classroom learning to real-world applications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and address the needs of all students.
  • Support student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression, providing guidance and tailored support.

What We’re Looking For

We seek candidates who:

  • Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Early Years (Essential).
  • Are qualified teachers; or are willing to work towards the qualification**
  • Have a relevant degree or an equivalent qualification.
  • Have GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above in English and Mathematics, or an equivalent.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and/or experience in teaching Childcare and Early Years.
  • Exhibit awareness of current challenges within the Childcare and Early Years sector.
  • Possess expertise and/or experience in one or more areas of Childcare and Early Years.
