The Role
We are seeking organised and professional Examination Invigilators to support the smooth running of exams across the College. You will help prepare exam rooms, supervise students in line with JCQ regulations, complete essential paperwork, and ensure all procedures are followed accurately and safely. You’ll also report any incidents, support students with additional needs, and maintain the highest standards of integrity throughout each exam. Full training is provided, making this a great opportunity for reliable individuals who can remain focused and uphold the fairness of the examination process.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to invigilator procedures for various examinations, ensuring compliance with JCQ and awarding body standards.
- Oversee the supervision of examinations.
- Ensure all examination-related paperwork is accurately completed.
- Report on student attendance and behaviour during examinations.
- Dedicate oneself exclusively to the activity of invigilation during examinations.
- Inspect the examination venue and papers prior to the commencement of the exam.
- Manage examination procedures throughout the examination process.
- Handle examination papers responsibly after the examination.
- Report any incidents, follow emergency procedures, and provide assistance to students requiring special consideration during examinations.
- Actively uphold the College's Equality & Diversity Policy, Quality Frameworks, and Health & Safety Procedures.
- Perform any other duties appropriate to your skills, knowledge, and experience.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- GCSEs at Level 4 (Grade C) or above in Mathematics and English, or an equivalent qualification, or a willingness to work towards achieving this – Desirable.
- A First Aid qualification – Desirable.
- Proficient IT skills – Essential.
- Strong communication skills – Essential.
