Middlesbrough College Group is seeking an ambitious Skills Development Manager to drive the growth of apprenticeships and commercial training across the Tees Valley. This role will focus on building strong employer partnerships, generating new business opportunities, and supporting workforce development particularly within the engineering and digital sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce a clearly defined regional territory plan that is fit for purpose and meets all business objectives.
  • To self-generate and maintain new business relationships focused on generating opportunities for higher level qualifications.
  • To maximise our existing employer network and generate further opportunities to promote and upsell higher level qualifications.
  • To provide excellent customer service and end to end account management with all accounts.
  • Develop co-operation and collaborative working practice with Middlesbrough College Group business development team to maximise leads and create new business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in sales/marketing – Desirable.

Experience & Skills

  • Demonstrable track record of consistently achieving sales performance targets.
  • Excellent customer service focus.
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload.
  • Well-developed interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Proven experience in developing new leads and building new customer relationships – Desirable.

The position is based in Middlesbrough and includes travel to local employers and where required national locations.
