The Role
Are you passionate about electronics, electrical systems, and emerging technologies? We are looking for a Lecturer in Electronics Engineering to inspire and develop the next generation of engineers. In this role, you will teach and support students studying qualifications in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, combining classroom-based learning with practical workshop activities. Key Responsibilities
- Delivering teaching, learning and assessment to learners on a range of Electrical and Electronics Engineering programmes.
- Preparing and developing innovative learning materials to ensure learners have an outstanding learning experience.
- Monitoring learner progress and providing appropriate support and challenge to enable learners to achieve their potential.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of learner attendance, progress and achievement.
- Contributing to the development and promotion of Electrical and Electronics Engineering programmes and supporting recruitment, enrolment and curriculum activities.
Qualifications
Essential:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Electronics Engineering or a related subject.
- English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE Grade C/4 or above or equivalent).
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
Desirable:
- Assessor and/or Internal Quality Assurer qualifications.
Experience
Essential:
- Recent and relevant industrial experience within Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience of working with electrical and electronic systems, equipment and technologies.
- Experience of communicating technical information to a range of audiences.
Desirable:
- Experience of teaching, training or mentoring learners, apprentices or colleagues.
- Experience of working within a further education or training environment.

- Knowledge of Electronics Engineering principles and industry practices.
- Ability to deliver engaging and effective teaching, learning and assessment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
