We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Construction and Engineering Administrator to join our Business Support team on a part‑time, permanent basis. This is a key administrative role within the Construction and Engineering Directorate, providing high‑quality, accurate, and efficient support across a wide range of departmental activities. In this varied position, you will play an essential role in supporting both staff and students, ensuring the smooth running of administrative processes. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills, who can manage a busy workload, maintain accurate and confidential records, and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining learner records.
- Supporting enrolment and attendance processes.
- Preparing reports, managing departmental communications.
- Coordinating key activities such as parent evenings, recruitment events, and UCAS applications.
- Expected to work closely with internal teams, parents, carers, employers, and external services to ensure effective communication and support for learners.
Qualifications
- Minimum Level 3 Business Administration qualification.
- Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Evidence of up-to-date CPD.
Experience
- Experience of working in a busy office.
- Experience of working in an educational environment (Desirable).
Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Excellent word processing skills.
- Highly motivated and able to work on own initiative.
- A high degree of IT literacy, particularly in the use of Microsoft office applications.
