We are looking for an organised and proactive Administrator to support the effective and efficient delivery of administrative services within the Faculty of Additional Learning Support (ALS). In this role, you will provide high‐quality administrative support to managers, staff, and learners, working collaboratively across the faculty to maintain accurate processes, clear communication, and a professional administrative function. As a key part of the team, you will contribute to the smooth day‐to‐day running of the ALS provision and help maintain the outstanding standards recognised by Ofsted in February 2024, supporting learners to thrive, progress, and achieve their individual goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and review office processes and administrative procedures to support the effective operation of the ALS faculty.
  • Assist with enrolment activity, including open evenings, showcase events, transition activities, and faculty enrolment processes, ensuring appropriate administrative support for learners accessing ALS provision.
  • Support the faculty with data checking and validation activities, ensuring records relating to enrolments, withdrawals, and completions are accurate, and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the purchasing, ordering, and delivery of equipment, resources, and materials required to support ALS and SEN provision.
  • Design, maintain, and manage faculty databases and spreadsheets to support ALS monitoring, and reporting requirements.
  • Organise and schedule meetings as requested by the faculty management team.
  • Take accurate minutes for meetings as required, ensuring actions are clearly recorded and followed up.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, learners, parents/carers, and external partners.
  • Ability to maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential records, including learner and EHCP documentation.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience or confidence in supporting SEN/ALS administrative processes, including EHCP reviews, transition meetings, and learner support planning.
  • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults within the College.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and responsibilities as required.
  • Strong commitment to high standards and excellence in administrative practice.
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • GCSE Grade C / Grade 4 or above in Maths and English, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Willingness to undertake and complete any mandatory training relevant to the role.
