Middlemore are delighted to be partnering with True Potential, a leading UK Financial Services organisation, on a newly created role for a Training & Development Consultant. Based at True Potential's Newcastle headquarters on a hybrid basis, this is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative business at a time of continued growth and investment in its people agenda. True Potential is committed to developing capability across the organisation and is seeking an experienced learning and talent professional to help shape and deliver impactful development initiatives.

Working closely with the Head of Talent & Development as well as business leaders and HR colleagues, you'll identify development needs, design and deliver engaging learning solutions, and support talent processes that build organisational capability and drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learning & Development
    • Design and deliver engaging learning solutions, including workshops, virtual learning, and digital content.
    • Create and maintain learning materials aligned to business needs and regulatory requirements.
    • Facilitate development programmes and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Talent Management
    • Support talent reviews, succession planning, and capability assessments.
    • Contribute insights and recommendations to support talent decisions.
    • Use assessment tools and psychometrics where appropriately accredited.
  • Stakeholder Partnership
    • Partner with leaders and HR colleagues to identify capability gaps and development opportunities.
    • Provide coaching, guidance, and practical development support.
    • Build strong relationships as a trusted learning and talent specialist.
  • Programme Delivery
    • Manage development programmes, including planning, communications, logistics, and evaluation.
    • Work with external providers to ensure quality delivery and value for money.
    • Maintain accurate programme reporting and data.

About you

  • Experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, Organisational Development, or a related field.
  • Experience designing and delivering learning solutions across different audiences.
  • Knowledge of talent management processes, including talent reviews and succession planning.
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Experience using data and insights to evaluate impact and inform decisions.
  • Experience with assessment tools, diagnostics, or psychometrics.
  • Experience in a regulated environment, ideally Financial Services.
  • CIPD, coaching, or learning and development qualifications.
