Salary equivalent £75,000 or day rate of £500–£600.
Are you a senior property or estates professional who can bring clarity, energy and commercial focus to a complex, multi-site organisation?
This is an opportunity to take the lead on a diverse national property portfolio, guiding day-to-day operations while shaping longer-term asset strategy, investment and development.
Reporting to the COO, you will lead a team of four direct and approximately eight indirect reports, overseeing property asset management, maintenance, estates services and outsourced facilities-management partners. You will be responsible for ensuring buildings and facilities remain safe, compliant, operationally effective and aligned with organisational purpose.
Key priorities
- Lead a three-year rolling property maintenance and asset-management plan.
- Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, inspections, repairs and property helpdesk services.
- Manage outsourced hard and soft facilities-management contracts, ensuring strong SLA performance and value for money.
- Advise senior stakeholders on acquisitions, disposals, development opportunities and estate rationalisation.
- Support the relocation and development of a bespoke operational facility.
- Deliver capital and operational projects on time, within budget and to the required quality.
- Strengthen stakeholder confidence and improve the customer experience across the property function.
- Lead and develop the team through a period of organisational change.
- Champion health, safety, environmental, energy and business-continuity standards.
About you
You will have a strong track record managing a diverse property portfolio, with experience spanning strategic asset management, maintenance, facilities management and property projects. You will be commercially astute, highly credible with senior leaders and comfortable working hands-on when required.
Experience of property transactions, development, relocation, complex operational environments or inherited assets would be valuable. Relevant qualifications such as RICS, IWFM or NEBOSH are advantageous, but practical delivery, sound judgement and excellent stakeholder management are essential.
