Middlemore has been retained by a prestigious global financial services organisation to recruit an Interim Reward & Benefits Manager to join their London-based HR team during a significant period of organisational change.

This is a newly created position supporting a major international integration programme following a high-profile corporate transaction. The role offers the opportunity to work across Reward, Compensation, International Benefits and M&A integration, providing hands-on exposure to a complex project with significant visibility across the organisation.

You will join a small, highly experienced HR team and work closely with senior Reward and Benefits stakeholders, while taking ownership of a range of practical deliverables across both the integration programme and the annual compensation cycle.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Reward & Benefits professional who enjoys being hands-on, is highly analytical and thrives in an environment where you are trusted to get on with things and make things happen.

The Role

The successful individual will support the transition and harmonisation of Reward and Benefits arrangements across an international employee population spanning approximately 11 countries, alongside providing hands-on support to the annual compensation cycle.

You will work closely with internal Reward, HR and project stakeholders, external benefits advisers and brokers, as well as counterparts within the acquiring organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the transition and harmonisation of benefits across the UK, US, Europe and Asia.
  • Working with benefits brokers, consultants and providers on implementation, renewals, RFPs and provider changes.
  • Coordinating multiple international stakeholders throughout the integration.
  • Supporting employee consultation, communications and benefit queries.
  • Preparing presentations, documentation and project materials.
  • Supporting the annual compensation cycle, including data analysis, calculations and reporting.
  • Working with complex compensation spreadsheets and ensuring data and formulas are accurate.
  • Supporting wider Reward and integration project activity as required.

About You

We are looking for a hands-on Reward & Benefits professional who can hit the ground running and operate independently. You are likely to have:

  • Financial Services experience is essential for this position.
  • Strong Reward, Compensation and Benefits experience.
  • International benefits experience across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Experience with benefits renewals, provider implementations, RFPs or benefits harmonisation.
  • Ideally, exposure to an M&A, acquisition or integration programme.
  • Strong stakeholder and project management skills.
  • Experience working with brokers, consultants and external providers.

Direct experience leading an M&A integration is not essential. Relevant experience in benefits transition, harmonisation, implementation or renewal will also be considered.

The Opportunity

This is a genuinely interesting opportunity to gain exposure to a high-profile international integration programme, working across Reward, Compensation and Benefits alongside experienced senior professionals.

The successful individual will need to be curious, self-sufficient and comfortable rolling their sleeves up. This is not an environment where you will be spoon-fed, you'll be trusted to find answers, develop solutions and get things moving.

For the right Reward & Benefits professional, this is an assignment that can add significant international integration experience to your CV while working within a highly regarded Financial Services environment.
