Role summary
Middlemore are currently partnering with an international Bank to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner on a 6-month fixed-term basis. This is a high-impact role operating at senior leadership level, supporting a revenue generating client group comprising of Global Markets (fixed income & FX sales & trading). The HR Business Partner will partner with senior stakeholders across Global Markets and corporate functions, providing strategic HR advice and delivering people solutions aligned to business objectives and the People Strategy. The role will work closely with HR colleagues and Centres of Excellence to support organisational capability, leadership effectiveness, culture and performance.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with senior stakeholders and managers across Global Markets and corporate functions, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Translate business needs into effective HR solutions aligned to commercial and strategic priorities.
- Act as a link between the business, HR and Centres of Excellence.
- Support delivery of the People Strategy across DE&I, leadership, talent, engagement, culture, wellbeing and performance.
- Advise on employee relations matters including disciplinary action, dismissals, restructuring, workforce planning, TUPE and redundancy.
- Support year-end compensation, annual review and promotion processes, ensuring fair and consistent decisions within regulatory and internal frameworks.
- Support change, transformation and organisational design activity, including restructures and target operating model design.
- Coach managers and leaders to strengthen people management capability and embed the People Strategy.
- Support talent review, succession and high-potential development in partnership with specialist colleagues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute positively to the wider EMEA HR team.
To be successful you will have:
- Experience operating as a Senior HRBP, with strong expertise partnering front office and revenue-generating client groups, ideally complemented by recent exposure within banking, investment banking or asset management environments.
- Proven track record operating as a Senior HRBP, in global matrix environments.
- Prior front office experience within Banking or FS will be essential for this hire, given the stakeholder group and operating in a highly regulated environment.
- Must be available to start in the next 1-2 month.
