A highly collaborative, fast-paced global organisation in the financial markets space is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner / HR Generalist to join its International HR team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a hands-on, broad generalist role supporting approximately 100 employees across International Technology and Corporate Functions (Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Marketing, IT). You will work closely with senior leaders in the UK and US, balancing strategic partnering with operational ownership and project delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
- HR Business Partnering
- Support and advise senior managers across tech and corporate functions
- Coach leaders, proactively address people issues, and influence US decision-makers
- Build trusted relationships at speed
- Employee Relations
- Lead ER cases independently (probation, PIPs, occasional redundancies/settlements)
- Confidently coach managers through end-to-end processes
- Learning & Development
- Own and deliver international L&D programmes (management development, analyst programmes, etc.)
- Manage external vendors and partner with US L&D to roll out global initiatives
- Generalist & Operational Delivery
- Support onboarding/offboarding, performance cycles, reward, promotions, mobility
- Collaborate closely with Payroll, Benefits, Immigration & Global Mobility
- Contribute to HR projects and process improvements
- Contractor Management
- Support Tech contractor hiring and compliance
- Use a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system (knowledge desirable)
Who You Are
- 7–12 years’ experience as an HRBP/Generalist
- Strong core HR grounding (ER, performance, talent, comp, restructuring)
- Able to balance strategic partnering with operational delivery
- Resilient, organised, pragmatic, collaborative, and solutions-focused
- Confident influencing senior stakeholders, including US leadership
- Comfortable working in a high-growth, low-ego, performance-driven environment
- Brings pace, humour, and a roll-your-sleeves-up attitude
- Must have: Financial services exposure, strong HR analytics capability, CLM experience.
