We are recruiting Zero Hour contract Support Workers for our Supported Living Services in Hertfordshire, including Hatfield, St Albans, and Watford. As a Care Worker, you will be required to provide day-to-day support to vulnerable adults who have Learning Disabilities and/or mental health challenges, enabling them to live as independently as possible in our Supported Living services.
You will be responsible for safeguarding and supporting Service Users in our care according to their care plans, following the procedures in place to safeguard them. You will attend to any arising Service User queries, complaints, and challenges, including maintaining accurate, confidential and up-to-date documentation on all cases of safeguarding. Other duties and tasks may include medication administration, personal care, meal preparation and feeding, cleaning and accompanying during visits in the community. Hours of Supported Living work will be allocated on a shift basis, covering day shifts, sleep‑ins and waking night shifts.

What Experience And Qualifications Do You Need
- Relevant work experience in a support worker or care worker role is desirable as full training is provided
- A genuine passion for care
- A strong team player
- Resilience to keep going at difficult times and to ask for support when needed
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer literacy
- NVQ 1/2 Health and Social Care Certificate (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
- A full UK driving licence is desirable but not required.
All MidCo Care staff are required to have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
