A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a junior chef to work within a busy kitchen at an activity centre for young children and adults.
The Role
- You will be a key member of the catering team to ensure that the catering operations run smoothly and efficiently during breakfast, lunch and dinner times.
- You will prepare, cook and serve food for approximately 1200, always adhering to procedures.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, temperature checks and allergy management.
- The role is working 5 days out of 7, 42 hours per week with overtime available.
- Shift patterns will either be 5.30am - 1.30pm or 1.30pm - 8.30pm.
- Christmas off!
The ideal applicant
- We are looking for an experienced Chef from a high-volume background, with some experience managing or supervising in a busy environment.
- We would welcome candidates from the MOD, contract catering, large event and wedding venues, and large busy pub chains.
- Qualifications required include:
- Food Hygiene certificate
- City & Guilds 706 1 and 2 or NVQ equivalent
- Supervisory qualification preferred
This role is subject to a DBS check which is subsidised by the client.
