Our client is an innovative leading speciality bakery manufacturer, providing speciality baked good to major retailers, QSR and independents within foodservice. The Role

Due to internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an NPD Project Coordinator to join a New Product Development team at their Sheffield site.

The NPD Project Coordinator will assist in various projects for all NPD, EPD and pack changes. They will be ensuring all the development projects are managed correctly, within the required timelines and communicated effectively to the wider teams whilst also supporting the development teams in delivering any development activity successfully across both their Sheffield and Manchester sites.

This is a fast paced role where no two days are the same!

Key Responsibilities

  • Market research - Identifying market and foods trends, identifying customer requirements, seasonal demands and untapped opportunities
  • Then on to creating product ideas with the NPD team, discuss trends, consumer desires, food science, on trend concepts and real time gap analysis
  • Involvement in developing products and supporting the development and commercial teams
  • As Project Coordinator, you will be required to visit other depots

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent in a Food/Food Science related discipline
  • Strong communication, excellent planning, organised & written skills
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter, prioritise own workload & deadlines
  • Creative and innovative ideas
  • Experience & knowledge and strong understanding of food & the food environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and other systems
  • Food hygiene certificate
