Excellent Buyer/Purchasing role with a Catering supplies specialist
THE COMPANY:
We are a rapidly growing and progressive organisation with ambitious plans for 2025.
Established in the South West, we have progressed in recent years to become a market leader, not only across this area but also nationally.
Our product range comprised of an exceptional one stop shop for all Chef requirements in the areas of light catering equipment and disposables.
In addition to providing a comprehensive catalogued range of products we are also able to closely consult with customers to provide bespoke products incorporating their brand.
We have an extremely agile buying department where we work on projects to source manufactures of bespoke catering products internationally and are looking to add someone to the team initially on maternity cover to support the team.
THE ROLE:
This position is an exciting, varied and complex role within our buying team.
You will work in partnership with our sales team to procure products to meet the bespoke requirements of our clients.
This involves branded products across a diverse range of food and drink packaging over a range of different areas.
You will be provided with detailed briefs from the sales team re packaging requirements for their clients – and work with our manufacturing partners to put together solutions which meet the client’s requirements but also are commercially strong for our company.
Part of this role involves working with established suppliers who have worked with our organisation for a number of years – but you will also be involved in locating and on boarding new suppliers.
This will then be presented back to the sales team who will then communicate the solutions back to their clients.
Due to the project nature of the role and industry – this position is fast paced and is suitable for a candidate who enjoys a varied role where each week can look very different in terms of the areas and products you are working in.
THE APPLICANT.
We are seeking to speak to candidates with experience in buying / procurement and who enjoy working in a team focused, office based environment.
- Candidates must have a proven track record in a buying role, preferably in product based area.
- Candidates who have worked in a buying environment working with re-sold product will be of particular interest.
- Candidates must have experience of sourcing suppliers and putting together commercial agreements re price and supply chain.
- Experience of working with EXCEL is required
