A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a junior chef to work within a busy kitchen at an activity centre for young children and adults.
You will be a key member of the catering team to ensure that the catering operations run smoothly and efficiently during breakfast, lunch, and dinner times. You will prepare, cook, and serve food for approximately 1200, always adhering to procedures. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, temperature checks, and allergy management.
The role is working 5 days out of 7, 42 hours per week, with overtime available. Shift patterns will either be 5.30am - 1.30pm or 1.30pm - 8.30pm. Christmas off!
The ideal applicant:
- Experienced Chef from a high-volume background, with some experience managing or supervising in a busy environment.
- We would welcome candidates from the MOD, contract catering, large event and wedding venues, and large busy pub chains.
- Hold the following qualifications: Food Hygiene certificate, City & Guilds 706 1 and 2 or NVQ equivalent, supervisory qualification preferred.
This role is subject to a DBS check which is subsidised by the client.
