The Opportunity
A rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head Chef to oversee a busy kitchen at an activity centre for young children and adults.
The Role
You will manage a catering team to ensure that the catering operations runs smoothly and efficiently during breakfast, lunch and dinner times. You will manage a team of chefs and catering assistants. You will prepare, cook and serve food, always adhering to procedures. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, temperature checks and allergy management.
The role is working 5 days out of 7 42 hours per week overtime available
Shift patterns will either be 5.30am 1.30pm or 1.30pm 8.30pm
The ideal applicant
We are looking for an experienced Head/Sous Chef from a high-volume background, with experience managing large teams and working within a busy environment. An enhanced DBS check is required.
We would welcome candidates from the MOD, Contract Catering, large Event and Wedding venues, large busy pub chains and hold the following qualifications
Level 3 Food Safety and allergen management
City & Guilds 706 1 and 2 or NVQ equivalent
Management qualifications and proven experience of coaching and mentoring your team
