Field Service Engineer Commercial Catering Equipment

Location: Harrow, Twickenham, Greenford, Romford, Dagenham, Stratford

Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 DOE + London Weighting Allowance + Overtime

Benefits: Company van, fuel card, company credit card, enhanced overtime rates, 31 days' holiday including Bank Holidays, pension scheme, ongoing training and development, plus additional company benefits.

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 1 in 4 weekend on-call rota paid at enhanced rates.

The Role

  • As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of commercial warewashing equipment across your designated territory.
  • Installing, commissioning and servicing commercial warewashing equipment, including under-counter, pass-through and rack conveyor dishwashers.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.
  • Diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults and completing repairs efficiently.
  • Completing detailed service reports and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Managing van stock and ensuring first-time fix rates remain high.
  • Working closely with the technical support team to resolve complex issues.
  • Providing customers with advice on the correct operation and maintenance of their equipment.
  • Maintaining excellent customer relationships while delivering a high standard of service.
  • Meeting key performance indicators including response times, productivity, customer satisfaction and first-time fix targets.

The Person

We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Ideally, you will have experience working on:

  • Commercial catering or warewashing equipment.
  • White goods.
  • Coffee machines.
  • Water treatment or water coolers.
  • Catering equipment.
  • Laundry equipment.
  • Refrigeration.
  • Vending equipment.
  • Other electro-mechanical field service environments.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic IT skills for completing service documentation.
  • A full UK driving licence.
