Our highly regarded client is seeking a Project Designer to manage hospitality, commercial kitchen, and catering projects from initial client brief through to technical design and project delivery. This role combines client-facing project ownership with AutoCAD design and technical coordination.
The Role
- Manage projects from initial client brief through to quotation, design, and installation support
- Conduct client meetings and site surveys, developing practical and commercially viable design solutions
- Produce AutoCAD layouts, elevations, equipment schedules, and technical drawing packages
- Design commercial kitchens, serveries, and hospitality environments
- Prepare equipment specifications and support project quotations
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, estimating teams, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist with M&E coordination and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
The Applicant
- Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Interior Design, Architectural Technology, Product Design, Spatial Design, or a related discipline
- Minimum 1 year's AutoCAD design experience within commercial kitchens, catering equipment, foodservice, hospitality fit-out, or related sectors
- Experience dealing directly with clients, taking project briefs, presenting designs, and managing projects through the design process
- Strong technical drawing, space planning, and communication skills
- Experience with 2D/3D design software would be advantageous
- Knowledge of commercial kitchen workflows, M&E coordination, and equipment specification is essential; experience in the construction industry would also be considered
