Field Service Engineer Commercial Catering Equipment

Location: Aberdeen & Surrounding areas

Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 DOE + Overtime

Benefits: Company van (Available for private use), fuel card, company credit card, enhanced overtime, 31 days' holiday including Bank Holidays, pension, ongoing training, career progression and additional company benefits.

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus a 1 in 4 weekend rota paid at enhanced rates.

The Company: Our client is a leading manufacturer and service provider of commercial warewashing equipment, with over 50 years of experience supporting the UK's hospitality and catering industry. They supply, install and maintain industry-leading dishwashing and glasswashing equipment for a wide range of customers, including restaurants, hotels, pubs, cafés, contract caterers, hospitals, universities, supermarkets, sports venues and conference centres.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their South London team.

The Role: You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of commercial warewashing equipment across your designated territory. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.
  • Installation and commissioning of commercial dishwashing equipment.
  • Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fault finding.
  • Managing van stock and achieving high first-time fix rates.
  • Completing service reports and supporting customers with equipment operation.
  • Delivering excellent customer service while meeting company service standards.

The Person: We are looking for an engineer with strong electro-mechanical fault-finding skills and previous field service experience. Experience within commercial catering or warewashing equipment is ideal; however, we would also welcome engineers from backgrounds including:

  • Coffee machines
  • White goods
  • Catering equipment
  • Water treatment or water coolers
  • Refrigeration
  • Vending equipment
  • Laundry equipment
  • Any electro-mechanical field service environment

To be successful, you'll need:

  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Good IT and organisational skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
