A leading and reputable independent foodservice wholesaler with a strong regional presence is seeking an experienced and results driven Account Manager to join their dynamic Southwest team. Operating an established distribution depot, the business supplies an extensive range of chilled, frozen, ambient, and non-food products to a diverse customer base including pubs, restaurants, hotels, schools, and coffee shops.

With other specialist services and a commitment to sustainability through on-site renewable energy and eco-friendly packaging solutions, the company is well-positioned for growth. The Role

  • This is mainly an account management role, upselling and increasing existing revenue, however there will be a focus on new business too.
  • Managing and developing existing customer relationships to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Identifying and securing new business within your designated territory.
  • Keeping up to date with product knowledge and market trends.
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction.
  • Strategising and executing sales plans to achieve targets.
  • Attending trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to build brand awareness.

The Person

  • We are looking for a driven and commercially minded individual with a strong background in new business sales and account management; experience in foodservice is essential.
  • Working as a BDM, Area Sales Manager, Sales Executive for a foodservice wholesaler or manufacturer is essential.
  • Experience selling into food manufacturers, hotels, cafes, restaurants, schools, care homes.
  • Our client's success is built on reputation, so someone with local knowledge, ability to build and maintain customer relationships and provide exceptional customer service is essential.
