Location: North London

Salary: £42,000 – £45,000 DOE

London Weighting Allowance

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 1 in 4 weekend on-call rota paid at enhanced rates.

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of commercial warewashing equipment across your designated territory. Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing, commissioning and servicing commercial warewashing equipment, including under-counter, pass-through and rack conveyor dishwashers.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults and completing repairs efficiently.
• Completing detailed service reports and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Managing van stock and ensuring first-time fix rates remain high.
• Working closely with the technical support team to resolve complex issues.
• Providing customers with advice on the correct operation and maintenance of their equipment.
• Maintaining excellent customer relationships while delivering a high standard of service.
• Meeting key performance indicators including response times, productivity, customer satisfaction and first-time fix targets.

The Person

We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. Ideally, you will have experience working on commercial catering or warewashing equipment. However, we would also welcome applications from engineers with experience in:

• White goods
• Coffee machines
• Water treatment or water coolers
• Catering equipment
• Laundry equipment
• Refrigeration
• Vending equipment
• Other electro-mechanical field service environments

To be successful, you will have:

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Basic IT skills for completing service documentation.
• A full UK driving license.
• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
