Midas VFX is looking for Compositors at all levels based in the UK to join our team across a range of high-end film and television projects. Roles can be onsite (London), hybrid or remote within the UK, depending on experience and project requirements.
Working closely with Supervisors, Leads and the wider team, you will help deliver high-quality final shots, from invisible effects and cleanup through to complex CG integration. Depending on your level, you will:
- Composite shots using live-action plates and CG elements
- Deliver invisible effects, beauty work, cleanup, set extensions and CG integration
- Work from supervisor and client notes to progress shots efficiently
- Maintain continuity and consistency across sequences
- Troubleshoot technical and creative challenges
- Collaborate closely with prep, CG and production teams
For mid/senior levels: support reviews, mentor junior artists and help maintain quality across sequences.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Nuke and compositing workflows
- Experience working across a range of compositing tasks including keying, cleanup, roto, tracking and CG integration
- Good understanding of colour, light, lensing and photographic principles
- Experience working with multi-pass CG renders and AOVs
- Ability to take ownership of shots and manage workload effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high level of quality
