Business Systems and IT Manager Lancashire £65,000£75,000 plus benefits Permanent, full time, office based (no home working) An established and highly successful manufacturing business is seeking a hands-on leader to take responsibility for its business systems, IT services, infrastructure, cyber security and data.
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will lead the IT and Business Systems team, supporting users and shaping a practical technology roadmap across the workforce.
The role Own and improve business-critical applications, including Infor Syte Line ERP and Infor CPQ, working with colleagues to strengthen processes and system adoption.
Lead a hybrid IT estate of VMware servers, Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID and Fortinet technologies, including a planned migration to Microsoft Hyper-V.
Develop cyber security, backups, disaster recovery, service standards and reliable support for office, factory and remote users.
Improve management reporting and data quality, including work with Microsoft Fabric and related analytics tools.
Deliver projects and change, manage suppliers, licences and budgets, and advise senior leaders on technology risks and investment.
About you Proven leadership experience across IT operations and business systems, with the confidence to be hands-on when needed.
Previous experience of managing and leading a small IT team, Manufacturing background with e xperience managing ERP or other business-critical applications, Microsoft 365, hybrid infrastructure, virtualisation, cloud services and cyber security.
A track record of leading upgrades, migrations or implementations, and managing suppliers, contracts and budgets.
Clear communication, sound commercial judgement and the ability to turn business needs into workable technology plans.
Experience with Infor Syte Line or CPQ, Microsoft Fabric or Power BI, Hyper-V, Fortinet or manufacturing environments would be useful.
Relevant practical experience will be considered alongside formal qualifications.
