Hours: 37.5 Monday to Friday. Role is also open to a 4 day week and 1 day working from home.

What We're Looking For:

We need a highly organised and detail-oriented individual who will be the backbone of our client's legal department, part of a group of companies with over 1000 employees. As a Legal Secretary, you'll be supporting a team of in-house Solicitors with the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Typing & Digital Dictation: Speedy and accurate transcription of legal documents
  • Client Communication: Handling calls and liaising with clients professionally
  • Legal Document Prep: Drafting and processing legal documents and land registry applications
  • Organising Files: Maintaining electronic & hard-copy systems, deeds, and documents
  • Administrative Support: Managing diaries, filing, and record-keeping
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Assisting the Legal Department with various additional duties

Skills & Experience required:

  • Previous or current experience of a Legal Secretary
  • Exceptional audio typing and secretarial skills
  • Strong organisational abilities: managing diaries, files and keeping records in order
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook; PowerPoint is a bonus)
  • Excellent communication skills: written and verbal
  • Experience working in a high-volume environment and managing multiple priorities
  • Previous legal secretary experience is essential
