Responsibilities
- Report into the Board of Directors.
- Full P&L responsibility for the UK operation.
- Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the business, increasing profitability and building a solid platform across the business for sustained profit and growth.
- Areas of responsibility include manufacturing and production, finance, sales, logistics, IT, human resources, quality and health and safety.
- Review and define the strategic direction of the business creating a 3, 5 and 10 year business plan to map out the future direction of the business with key focus on enabling the business to be the industry's leader.
- Instill a positive culture across the business, improve operational functionality and communications, and ensure lean systems are in place to ensure maximum output and increased profit.
Skills, experience and abilities
- Commercially focused business leader with P&L responsibility.
- Currently working as a Managing Director or General Manager in manufacturing.
- In-depth experience and knowledge in manufacturing with a proven track record of successfully defining and implementing commercial strategies, lean operations, concepts and methodologies across single and multi-site operations.
- Expertise in sales and operations, change and project management, ISO systems compliance.
- Able to lead senior management teams in the delivery of the business strategy.
