Junior Supply Planner & Buyer Food importer and manufacturer

Salary: £35-45k DOE, EOT bonus, pension An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Supply Planner & Buyer to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business.

This is an ideal role for a recent graduate or someone in the early stages of their supply chain career who is looking to gain hands-on experience across purchasing, planning, supplier management, and stock control.

Working as part of a busy Supply Chain team, you will play a key role in ensuring products, raw materials, and packaging are available to support production while building strong relationships with suppliers both in the UK and overseas.

The Role This is a varied position where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities will include: 1.

Raising and managing purchase orders for raw materials, packaging, and finished products. 2.

Managing supplier relationships across the UK and internationally. 3.

Chasing suppliers to ensure products and packaging are delivered on time. 4.

Liaising with overseas suppliers regarding production schedules, shipping updates, and delivery times. 5.

Monitoring stock levels and identifying potential shortages or overstock situations. 6.

Supporting supply planning to ensure customer demand is met. 7.

Managing supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and purchasing documentation. 8.

Coordinating with logistics providers and freight forwarders where required. 9.

Working closely with Production, Warehouse, Sales, and Customer Service teams to ensure continuity of supply. 10.

Maintaining accurate purchasing and inventory records within the ERP system. 11.

Producing reports and analysing stock and supplier performance. 12.
