An autonomous role, this specialist manufacturer is looking for a Machine Operative to join its friendly team on a permanent basis.

- Work hours: Monday to Thursday 9am - 5pm and Friday 9am - 4pm with ½ hour lunch
- Salary: Circa £24,000

Machine Operative Responsibilities:
- Use onsite machinery to manufacture specialist products as required by the customer
- Package and prepare customer orders, ensuring all orders are correct and well-presented
- Ensure all sales orders are completed to customer timelines
- Maintain high production standards, looking for ways to improve processes
- Report any issues or potential issues to the General Manager
- Manage stock and waste, ensuring all stock and waste is recorded and stored correctly
- Comply with all health and safety processes, and ensure the correct PPE is utilised
- Undertake any other duties within the workshop as required
Machine Operative Skills and Experience:
- Confident using machinery such as guillotines, disc cutters, fly presses and circular saws
- Good understanding of manufacturing practices and good working practices
- Able to make basic calculations around metal dimensions and specifications
- Flexible in your approach, happy to undertake additional tasks and work extended hours when required
- A team player who can be relied upon and is highly organised
- A driving licence is preferable as is a Forklift license, but this is not essential
