Accounts Assistant Assistant in Birmingham

Job Description Are you looking for an Accounts Assistant role where you can join a friendly team, get involved in a good variety of finance duties and have the opportunity to secure something permanent? This is a great Temp to Perm opportunity for someone with some accounts or bookkeeping experience who enjoys a hands-on role. You’ll be joining a small, supportive team where you can quickly become a valued part of the business. What’s in it for you? Work hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 5pm, with a 4pm finish on a Friday and an hour lunch Salary: £12.50 - £13.00 per hour whilst temping through Midas Recruitment Temp to Perm opportunity Onsite parking Casual dress Small, friendly working environment Accounts Assistant Responsibilities: Support with a variety of day-to-day finance and accounts administration Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments Process transactions accurately using accounting software Raise and send sales invoices and customer statements Process and approve supplier invoices Complete bank reconciliations Respond to customer account queries in a friendly and professional manner Keep customer account records accurate and up to date Provide general support to the wider finance team as required Accounts Assistant Skills and Experience: Immediately available and happy to consider a Temp to Perm opportunity Previous office experience with a good understanding of accounts or bookkeeping Confident working with numbers and excellent attention to detail Friendly and confident communicator, both internally and with customers Comfortable using Microsoft Office and able to pick up new accounting systems quickly Organised, proactive and willing to get stuck in Happy to learn, ask questions and take on a varied workload
