We are looking for a Senior Merchandiser to lead department-level planning and trading across store and online channels for this longstanding, fast-paced retailer.
What’s in it for you?
- Work hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 4pm
- Salary: £45,000 - £60,000
- 22 days holiday, increasing with length of service

Senior Merchandiser Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support for the Head of Merchandising and deputising when required
- Lead and mentor merchandisers and junior merchandisers, providing guidance and supporting their career development
- Collate and analyse season performance to inform strategy and highlight sales trends
- Collaborate with the buying team to develop WSSI plans, create effective strategies, and build balanced, commercial ranges
- Approve orders, ensuring they align with department and margin plans, and buying timelines, whilst highlighting potential risks to the Head of Merchandising
- Identify core product lines for in-store and e-commerce
- Establish pricing strategies for each product and department, ensuring they align with company strategy and margin
- Support the Head of Merchandising with the build and management of WSSI for all channels
- Review store and web performance against plans, taking action to maximise sales and profit
- Share KPIs with the buying team, flagging risks to the Head of Merchandising
- Plan and review markdowns and promotional activity, ensuring all are in line with the company strategy
- Liaise with the e-commerce team on online promos and email features
Senior Merchandiser Skills and Experience:
- Experience as a Merchandiser/Senior Merchandiser, gained within an e-commerce or retail environment
- Solid knowledge of WSSI, OTB, and margin planning
- Commercial mindset and confident decision-making skills
- Strong analytical skills, with commercial acumen
- Team leadership experience with a collaborative approach
- Excellent communication skills, confident liaising at all levels
