What’s in it for you? * Work hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm * Salary: £25,396.80 * Hybrid, one day working from home increasing to three days after one year service * 20 days annual leave increasing up to 25 days with length of service * Access to a contributory pension scheme * Free car parking Junior Freight Operator Responsibilities: * Liaise with customers to offer a range of freight forwarding services * Plan and coordinate freight and shipments between the UK and EU on behalf of customers * Handle all relevant documentation, ensuring all data is correct and in line with regulations * Use CargowiseONE to arrange customs clearance services, upload documents, create files, and maintain job information * Quote jobs for customers, agreeing on rates with stakeholders * Maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers and suppliers, identifying ways to maximise the profitability of freight forwarding operations * Identify ways to increase service offerings and customer base * Allocate supplier purchase invoices Junior Freight Operator Skills and Experience: * A genuine interest in logistics and freight forwarding is a must, and it\’s imperative that you want a career within the sector and are keen to learn * Basic customs or freight forwarding knowledge or experience would be an advantage but not essential * A degree in logistics, supply chain management, or similar is an advantage, although a graduate with a more generalist degree would also be considered * Demonstrates strong administration skills and is able to input data accurately * Possesses excellent communication skills and is confident liaising with customers
