Working across air, sea, road and courier freight, you’ll coordinate imports and exports, work closely with suppliers and freight partners, manage shipping documentation and ensure deliveries run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate international import and export shipments via air, sea, road and courier from booking through to delivery
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers and suppliers to arrange shipments and keep deliveries on track
  • Monitor live shipments and proactively resolve delays, transport issues and documentation discrepancies
  • Prepare and check shipping documentation including commercial invoices, certificates of origin, bills of lading and export declarations
  • Ensure shipments meet customs requirements, Incoterms, trade agreements and international regulations
  • Keep up to date with changes to import/export regulations, restrictions and tariffs
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and update delivery schedules on internal systems
  • Reconcile shipping documentation against purchase orders and stock receipts
  • Assist with freight costs, invoicing and reporting
  • Keep customers updated throughout the shipping process and provide relevant documentation
  • Book stock onto Sage and ensure records remain accurate and up to date

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience within international shipping, imports, exports, logistics, supply chain or freight forwarding
  • Good knowledge of international shipping procedures, customs requirements and Incoterms
  • Experience coordinating international shipments and dealing with shipping documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident communicating with suppliers, carriers, freight forwarders and customers
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and changing priorities
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word
  • Experience using logistics, ERP or stock management systems
