Project Manager Responsibilities
- Manage event and project enquiries from initial brief through to delivery, providing ideas and solutions that meet client requirements and budgets.
- Prepare accurate quotations, work orders, purchase orders and all relevant project documentation.
- Coordinate equipment, crew, venues and external suppliers, ensuring all resources are in place for successful event delivery.
- Manage the technical production of live, virtual and hybrid events, including set-up, operation and on-site technical support.
- Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams, providing a responsive and professional service throughout.
- Monitor project costs, budgets and margins, ensuring events are delivered efficiently and profitably.
- Oversee the loading, unloading and return of equipment, supporting warehouse operations and ensuring all equipment and paperwork are accounted for.
- Ensure Health & Safety, quality and company procedures are followed both on-site and internally, including completing relevant H&S documentation and crew inductions.
Project Manager Skills and Experience
Previous experience within Audio Visual, live events, event production or a similar technical environment.
- Experience managing events or projects from initial client brief through to delivery.
- Good working knowledge of AV equipment and technical event production.
- Confident providing on-site technical support, including equipment set-up and operation.
- Knowledge of preparing quotations, managing project costs and working within agreed budgets and margins.
- Strong client-facing experience with the ability to understand requirements and offer practical solutions.
- Used to coordinating crew, equipment, suppliers and venues across multiple projects.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within live events or technical environments.
- Great organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage several projects and deadlines at once.
- Full UK driving licence and comfortable travelling to venues across the UK as required.
