Zenovo are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for one of our customers in Leicestershire. The role involves working as part of a team with a 365/24/7 support regime, including both planned and unplanned maintenance activities. The role may also involve supporting project teams to carry out design, engineering and commissioning activities on site. Experience and knowledge of control solutions and systems integration, SCADA applications, PLC technologies and/or Telecommunications is beneficial. The Maintenance Engineer will work independently and within a technical service team to provide support for systems across the UK, liaising and collaborating with internal engineers and external customers.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Undertaking all aspects of work associated with SCADA / BMS / SISS / Mobile Solutions.
- Technical support to Telephone Helpdesk.
- Execution of Planned Maintenance Activities.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal engineering teams.
- Provide support to the sales team for the preparation of contract quotations.
- Engage with clients at Service Contract Review Meetings.
- Support in the preparation of system designs.
- Engineering of systems, factory testing and site commissioning works.
- Excellence in stakeholder collaboration, customer focus and communication to enable strong relationship building.
- Ability to code in C, Assembler, Visual Basic, and Scripting Macros.
- Ability to configure Silworx, GX Works and Iconics where applicable.
- Ability to configure Iconics, Iconics HMI screens and GOT HMI.
- Knowledge of system protocols (e.g., MT700, Modbus, DNP3).
- Capable of configuring, programming and creating HMI screens.
- Safety Functional TUV Certified – Nice to have.
- Manage own authorisation to site works (PTS/ERA/Pink Ticket etc).
- Knowledge of RTU interfaces.
- Understanding of BS, ISO, Safety and CDM standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage tasks and people effectively.
- Learning workshop practices to company standards, including soldering, PCB repairs, electrical wiring, crimping, panel drawings and product assembly techniques, and the use of multimeters and oscilloscopes.
Skills and Experience
- Electrical/Technical Engineering qualification, HNC or HND.
- Knowledge of control solutions and systems integration.
- Knowledge of telecommunications is beneficial.
- Knowledge of PLC technologies (Mitsubishi, Siemens, Rockwell, etc.).
- Knowledge of SCADA applications would be beneficial.
- Flexible to travel across the UK and possess a full clean driving licence.
- Undertake IPAF and PASMA training.
