The predicted salary is between 42000 - 84000 £ per year.
We are now looking for 2 experienced electronics design engineers, with at least 3 years experience, to become a part of the engineering team at a business who are a leader in electronic tracking & surveillance systems. Joining a multi-skilled team of engineers, you will possess a proven track record in designing and developing electronic products, with a strong focus on embedded devices, including driver and system control software.
Responsibilities will include:
- Comprehensive design of analogue, digital, and power supply circuits
- Conducting evaluation tests to assess and enhance designs
- Formulating design processes and procedures for the hardware design team
- Create basic Windows tools to support internal testing and development efforts
- Engage in peer reviews, offering constructive feedback to enhance design quality
- Complete all necessary project documentation
Key Technical Knowledge/Experience:
- Designing digital electronics, including embedded microprocessors (e.g., ARM, STM32, PIC)
- Developing industrial control and data interfaces (RS422, CAN, USB, WiFi, ADC, DAC)
- Creating low-power switch-mode power supplies
- Implementing PCB layout techniques for power supply and EMC performance
- Designing for manufacturability and testability
Beneficial Experience:
- Developed software at the hardware level for embedded systems
- Understanding of Object Orientated C++
- Understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and real-time software
- Knowledge of LabVIEW
